Using Netflix on Microsoft Windows XP/ How to run Netflix (Watch all Content) On windows XP.
Hello and welcome to IT solutions. If this is your first time, please feel free to bookmark this page or contact me to solve your puzzles and learn fresh material. Today I will be explaining to you how to run Netflix on an old PC with an antiquated video card (ex: TNT2 Riva). You may have spent countless hours trying to use NVidia's proprietary drivers on the latest version of your favorite linux distro, or maybe your just a noob looking for a quick solution. I am aiming to provide you with solutions that are not available anywhere else....
Step 1: Download and install Microsoft Silverlight, Mozilla Firefox, and make sure your XP is relatively up to date.
Step 2: Go to start > run> regedit. Then Expand the folders until you navigate to the following registry key. HKEY_Current_User > Software > Microsoft > Windows > Current Version > Internet Settings. Go to the "User Agent" Value.
Step 3: Copy and paste the UAString for the google chrome book below.
(X11; U; CrOS i686 9.10.0; en-US) AppleWebKit/532.5 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/4.0.253.0 Safari/532.5"
Step 4: Open firefox... Type in about:config in the top where you would type in the url. Make a new key. General.useragent.override with the value "(X11; U; CrOS i686 9.10.0; en-US) AppleWebKit/532.5 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/4.0.253.0 Safari/532.5"" without the quotes.
Step 5: clear all private data including cookies and cache > navigate to netflix.com and enjoy netflix streaming on your Windows XP box.
